To compose light seats, Tenreiro used thin wooden sticks in some of his chairs. One of these pieces, which became well known, was the structural chair. Created in 1947 in two versions, one with a cane seat and another upholstered, the structural chair had a backrest formed by sticks with the smallest possible diameter.
