Our Narrative

The Recognition

Edge Decor was born out of a passion for creativity and a desire to empower people to bring their own unique style to life. Our founder, Marcia Thomason, discovered this concept in June 1993 when she first left Rio De Janeiro, Brazil to start a new life in the United States. As she explored the furniture industry, she realized that it was lacking in personalization and was far too expensive for the average person. With over 11 years of experience building her own fashion clothing franchise in Brazil, Marcia knew that people wanted to feel like the creators of their own craft.

Growing up in a poor area of Rio, Marcia also had a strong belief in helping her community and the less fortunate. This belief is reflected in our commitment to cutting consumer costs by nearly 3/4, making high-end furniture accessible to all. Our Plan

When our founder, Marcia Thomason, recognized the problems in the furniture industry, she knew she had to take action. She assembled a team of trusted professionals, experienced in the industry and designers themselves, to take on this sluggish system. Together, they set out on a mission to hunt for the most brilliant and chic designs from around the world, scouring countries such as Canada, Mexico, Poland, Argentina, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines India, and her beautiful home grounds of Brazil.

Starting off with just one container of inventory, the team was amazed when all 122 designs sold out within the first two months. This was just the beginning of a truly inspiring journey. Edge Decor's mission is to empower the community by providing high-quality, unique furniture designs at an affordable price. We strive to continuously improve and inspire, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the furniture industry.
